About usBellissimo Ristorante is owned by Omar Lavayen and Mary Killay Lavayen. Omar has been the Executive Chef at Bellissimo since 2004 and was pleased to assume ownership in 2009. The restaurant has been rated #1 by both The Washington Post and Times and the Fairfax Connection newspaper. Bellissimo was originally owned by Giovanni Cocciante, a veteran of Old Cantina D' Italia in Washington, DC. It changed hands in 2004 and was owned for a time by Samira Hradsky of Food Unites the World Cooking School, Paris, France.
